Ulysses Room is a multipurpose studio loft and event space located in the Truxton Circle neighborhood of Washington, D.C. Our mission is to support emerging artists, small brands, and visual creatives. Ulysses Room hosts events based on this mission and rents the space to people and organizations who are like-minded in promoting the arts through education, inspiration and collaboration.
The team behind Ulysses Room is local creative husband and wife duo, artist Kelly Towles and designer Virginia Arrisueño.
About Kelly Towles
Towles is a DC-based street artist whose highly recognizable characters and style have made him a household name in local art circles. His work has been featured in several reputable publications such as, the Washington Post and the Washington City Paper. An established artist, he has been commissioned by and has partnered up with several local companies including, Graffiato, DC Brau, and NCTA.
About Virginia Arrisueño
Arrisueño is the founder and head designer of local knit accessories brand, DeNada. Specializing in knit accessories for men and women, DeNada creates contemporary pieces infused with cultural inspirations. Each DeNada piece is hand made by artisans in Peru using high-end Peruvian alpaca fiber. DeNada is currently sold at select retailers throughout the U.S. and around the world.
